Every day, thousands of semi-truck drivers face the same frustrating problem: finding a safe, available place to park. Whether it’s the end of a long haul or just a quick stop for a shower, parking shouldn’t be a source of stress — but it is. That’s the problem we’re solving with SpotHound.
SpotHound is a real-time parking availability platform built specifically for truckers. Using smart IoT sensors and a mobile app, SpotHound helps drivers see where parking is open, reserve spots, and access amenities like showers and laundry — all from their phone.
We’re a small team based in Greater Boise, Idaho, and we’ve seen firsthand how hard life on the road can be. After speaking with drivers, truck stop operators, and fleet managers, we realized there was a serious gap in how parking data was tracked and shared. Most apps rely on crowdsourcing or outdated info. We’re building something smarter — real data, real-time, real solutions.
This blog will be your behind-the-scenes pass as we develop SpotHound. We’ll share updates, milestones, and stories from the road. Whether you're a driver, investor, or just someone who believes in better infrastructure for those who keep America moving — we invite you to follow along.
Thanks for being here. We’re just getting started.
